RE: Create Domain to receive email in the same pop3 mailbox.

That is a cool idea. But I have a much much simpler way in which you don't have to worry about POP3.

Since faxgate can work within Lotus Notes then just have a mail list database redirect the email to the faxgate gateway. (Remember Domino uses FOREIGN DOMAIN as a gateway.)

See the problem here is that domino wants the left side of the @ to be a person in the domino directory. So I would suggest to have a mail in database like faxgate@canammanac.com. But within the text message have some CODED stuff i.e. FAX=555-1212, SENDER=JOE NELSON, etc.

Then you have tap into the mail list template (it was supplied in R5 -- I can get you a copy if you need it), have the send script message within the mail list database modified for this fax purpose, and have the message resend (within the domino server) to the fax gateway mail box. Then it could follow the formate fax=555-1212/name=Jane Doe.......

I have done similar ideas like this with other fax products. So you have me very interested.

HTH -- Cheers -- feel free to email me if you want to talk more about specifics for your environment.
